Compact® CBR-2 for Complex Bowls
The COMPACT® system was designed with the aim of achieving some important technical and economic objectives:
- Total automation in the casting of complex bowls
- A drastic reduction of the initial costs for the investment
- Total automation of the mold change
- Higher productivity of the line
In order to meet all these specifications, the COMPACT® pressure-casting system was designed starting from the central function of the interlocking robot of the Cell.
This robot, unlike all the traditional systems on the market today, performs some functions that previously belonged to the press-casting machine, such as: handling the mold during all the operations of opening and de-molding of the piece, gluing the rim and washing the mold before the next casting.
This revolutionary system allows to simplify the press-casting machines, limiting their function to the simple closing of the mold during the piece forming operations. From this follows an important reduction of the complexity and cost of the system.
Recently, the fully electric version of this pressing system has been designed and installed. This version allows to obtain some important advantages such as:
- Automatic adjustment of mold deformation
- Energy saving: for 95% of working time the machine is switched off and does not consume energy
- It allows totally automatic change of the mold in less than 6 minutes using the same robot of the Cell
- Elimination of all hydraulic components and consequent reduction of time and costs for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
