news12 Intelligent Maintenance: Automation and Proactivity in the Maintenance Cycle
Preventive maintenance has long been a well-established approach in industrial management. However, its effectiveness often depends on complex manual management. Tracking deadlines, coordinating interventions, updating records. Whitech's intelligent maintenance addresses this challenge by introducing a level of automation and proactivity that significantly simplifies daily operations.

The Role of Automation in Maintenance

Intelligent maintenance doesn't reinvent preventive maintenance, but automates it. Our integrated software constantly monitors the mechanical condition of the machinery and automatically communicates to the maintenance manager when it's time to intervene. Rather than relying on manually compiled deadline lists, the system sends timely notifications a few days before the scheduled deadline. It's an approach similar to vehicle scheduled maintenance systems: management becomes automatic and documented, reducing the margin for human error.

Operational Benefits

Maintenance automation brings tangible benefits:
  • Reduces unplanned machine downtime: Interventions occur according to schedule, not in emergency mode
  • Better resource planning: The maintenance team can organize work in advance
  • Greater component reliability: Regular and timely maintenance extends useful life and reduces anomalies
  • Operational continuity: Productivity doesn't suffer unexpected interruptions

How It Works: The System Guide

Intelligent maintenance is available on manipulators equipped with the Industry 4.0 Kit and dedicated display panel.

Accessing the Maintenance Menu
Through the dedicated button on the main panel, you access the menu. By selecting the "Maintenance" option, you enter the management program.

The Component List
The program displays the list of all components subject to maintenance, in accordance with the machine's Use and Maintenance Manual.

The Color System: Status Indicator
Each component is accompanied by a visual indicator that signals the maintenance status:
  • Green Light: The component is in normal condition. There are still significant days until the next deadline
  • Yellow Light: 5 days remain until the deadline. It's time to plan the intervention
  • Red Light: The deadline has expired. The intervention must be performed immediately
This intuitive system allows you to quickly visualize the machine's health status.

Intervention History
The system records all maintenance performed, creating permanent documentation of interventions. This record is useful for regulatory compliance, reliability analysis over time, and warranty management.

From Prevention to Proactivity

The evolution that Whitech introduces is the shift from a preventive approach (planned according to fixed deadlines) to a proactive one (the system automatically communicates the right time for intervention). This way, the maintenance manager doesn't have to remember deadlines or consult tables: the system informs them with precision.

The Evolution of Industrial Management

Whitech's intelligent maintenance automates and simplifies a process that, although well-established, remains challenging to manage manually. By transforming preventive maintenance into a proactive and documented process, the system reduces organizational complexity and increases operational reliability.

Whether you're managing complex plants or looking to optimize your maintenance processes, this solution offers a concrete tool to improve operational efficiency.
